Quality Assurance Analyst

Position Summary
The Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst will be responsible for the creation and execution of test plans using manual interactions and automated tools to ensure the validation of Left Field Labs projects. The QA Analyst will maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software by the engineering team. You will estimate, plan, and coordinate testing strategies as well as ensure that quality issues and bugs are appropriately identified, documented, tracked, and resolved within our issue tracking system (GitHub Issues, Jira, Asana, etc).


  • Test desktop, mobile, and tablet websites, micro-sites, applications and software for performance, usability, and integrity
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Maintain test plans and ensure they are kept up to date as features and interactions evolve throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify, record, track, and thoroughly document bugs according to house spec and best practices
  • Provide clear and detailed reports of the results of all testing
  • Help drive bug prioritization while working with the Left Field Labs development team and producers
  • Ability to isolate defects effectively, as well as provide specific conditions for reproducibility
  • Maintain commitment about learning newer and more effective ways to achieve better test coverage and more reliable outcomes
  • Maintain a current list of supported browsers, devices and operating systems for the inclusion into client contracts and statements of work


  • 2+ years’ experience in a QA Analyst in a role
  • 2 or more years working on web/interactive based products
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools
  • Good working knowledge of the differences between functional testing, regression testing, unit testing, performance testing and integration testing
  • One or more years of mobile testing/QA experience
  • Experience with bug tracking systems (GitHub Issues, Jira, Asana, etc.)

Plus Skills

  • Ability to test API endpoints directly with tools like Postman
  • Experience testing APIs and RESTful applications
  • Experience using Selenium for web automation.
  • Basic understanding of version control tracking systems such as GitHub

Bachelor’s Degree or equal job experience.
