Who We Are Seeking

A technically savvy, detail-oriented, automation-obsessed, collaborative team player. This role will be responsible for infrastructure design and development, configuration management, and deployment pipeline for applications and systems. This role will also be responsible for creating, documenting, and providing training on best practices for reliability, security, and scalability throughout the software development lifecycle. This role requires constant collaboration with our engineering teams across multiple initiatives and clients. The Senior DevOps Engineer will also be responsible for improving security and performance measures that directly impact the delivery quality and operational efficiencies of our work.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Configuring, managing, and monitoring company infrastructure and tools like Github Enterprise, GCP, and AWS
  • Working with project teams to ensure consistent and reliable setup, development, and deployment of tooling and processes across a variety of work
  • Performing incremental testing actions on code, load testing, processes, and deployments to identify ways to streamline execution and minimize errors encountered
  • Writing scripts for automating repetitive processes and contributing code for larger business automation projects
  • Performing code reviews, security audits, and privacy audits throughout project lifecycles
  • Other duties and ad hoc projects as assigned

 

What You’ll Need to be Successful

  • Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years experience as a DevOps Engineer
  • Experience configuring and managing cloud services (GCP and/or AWS preferred)
  • Experience supporting containerized workloads using Docker, EKS, and Kubernetes
  • Experience configuring CI/CD, development tooling, and Mac/Unix command line

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, CloudWatch, and SolarWinds
  • Experience using Python for coding and Bash for both light scripting
  • DevSecOps, secure product architecture, and ability to review code for vulnerabilities
  • Experience building & deploying web apps using open source tools and cloud providers
  • Strong technical writing skills, with the ability to establish and document processes
  • Experience working with development teams using JIRA, Github, and other tools
  • Detail-oriented with strong communication skills
